OPI - Jade Is the New Black + stamping

Hello everyone,

How you've been doing? Me, I'm just too busy these days but I miss blogging. I barely have the time to do my nails and going to the office with naked nails is becoming a regular basis...Not good! I need to get organized here ;)

So this is a little oldie I've got for you today! It's the famous OPI Jade is the New Black released with the Hong Kong collection for the spring, in 2010.
And it's really one of the most beautiful greens ever! I'm a huge fan of this polish and I'd wear it more often, but... it's really, really not work appropriate. It's too beautiful to be work appropriate! :)
It applies very smoothly and is perfectly opaque in 2 coats. The finish is gorgeously shiny... I truly adore it! And weirdly, I think it looks well on my fair skin tone!
So here I'm wearing 2 coats of OPI Jade Is the New Black, no top coat. The first 4 pictures were taken in the sun:

And the next 3 in the shade:

I've been practising my stamping with my new Claire's french manicure white.. so this is what came out of it. Not great, I still have to work this out, but I'm getting better - I think ;P )

Thank you everyone for wathcing!

See ya soon!

Essie - Smooth Sailing

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long absence of posts. I've been on a vacation and I was very busy, and not often at home. Also, I was not really in the greatest mood, so I couldn't really think of blogging. But here I am!
And with a very very nice polish that I've seen on a lot of blogs, and which I adored!
This is Essie - Smooth Sailing. This one is the first of the 6 polishes from the Brazilliant collection 2011 I'll be showing you (and I'm really in love with the whole collection!). The base is a greyish blue with a lot of silver and some subtle duochrome violet/blue shimmer.
The application is ok, and the drying time very good.
Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Essie - Smooth Sailing, no top coat:

Thank you so much for watching!
See ya soon eveyone!

Big hugs!!! <3

Zoya Faye

 Hello everyone,

How you've been doing? Me... oh it's hard being on a vacation ;D (not)!
Sorry for the long blogging pause, but I've had some very busy days lately.

Today I'd like to show you the last of the Zoya Sunshine collection polish I've purchased, and it's a wonder! So beautiful and sparky! The application was very smooth, not problem at all and it's opaque in two coats.
The base is a lavender purple with lot of sparkling gold shimmer inside!

So, here I'm wearing 2 coats of Zoya Faye, not top coat:

What was you favourite polish from this collection? For me... I think it was Reva followed by Faye, then Apple and Tanzy.

Thank you so much for watching!

See ya soon!
Hugs everyone!

Catrice Mermaiden

Hello everyone,

Today I'm going to show you another Catrice from my swap with Stephanie form So Nailed. This is a superb purple/green duo-chrome, in a gorgeous silver base.
The formula is absolutely great. It applies like butter and needs two coats for full opacity. The only thing I dislike is the brush strokes which are a little too visible for my taste. But, in all, this is a great polish!
In the following I'll show the polish in different lights, so you'll get the impression it's not the same polish! But it is!
Here I'm wearing 2 coats of Catrice Mermaiden, no top coat:
In the shade

And in the sun. Yup, it's the same polish ;D

Still the same LOL ;D

Yet again, in the sun, still the same ;D

Here you can see both colours on the nails:

And then I thought I'd like to see how Catrice Mermaiden compares to OPI Not Like the Movies (from the Katy Perry collection)! So I put 3 coats of OPI Not Like the Movies on my middle and on my pinkie, keppeing the 2 coats of Catrice Mermaiden on my index and ring.

As you can see, the colours are mainely the same, only Not Like the Movies has some silver shimmer in it, while Iron Mermaiden has not.
Also, Not Like the Movies applies really well and builds up very well too, and you don't get any brush strokes marks at all.

I'm not sure which one I prefer... Iron Mermaiden needs only 2 coats for full opacity and teh formula is a dream to work with, but has got brush stroke marks and no shimmer ...

Which one do you prefer???

Thank you so much for watching!

See ya soon!

Deborah Lippmann - Glitter In the Air

Hello everyone,

My first Deborah Lippmann ever!!!
It took me some time before I've found out a way to buy a Deborah Lippmann at a normal price and to be shipped internationally ;) I'm happy ;)

The polish in the bottle was exactly how imagined it would be. The funny part is that I would've never guessed that the bottle was actually a cube! I thought it was way flatter than it actually is ;D LOL
But on the nail... that's another problem.
It looks cute, I really like it. BUT, the next time I'll be wearing this polish, it will be over an opaque nude base.
See, in the pics bellow I'm wearing 5 (five) coats, and still got major VNL, and the sweet blue colour I saw on other blogs is not there... The drying time was however surprisingly good.

So, here I'm wearing 5 coats of Deborah Lippmann - Glitter In the Air, no top coat:

I still think it's cute! And I'll try again with other Deborah Lippmann polishes. On my list there are Razzle dazzle and Lara's Theme... ;)

See ya soon!

OPI - Sparrow Me the Drama + another pirate face ;)

Hello everyone,

Aah... It's sooo good to be on vacation!  ;D I don't have any alarm set on my clock, I do whatever I want! Yaaaaay!!!! ;D

Today I'll be showing you the 4th polish of the Pirates of the Caribbean collection: Sparrow Me the Drama.
Cute, cute, cute pink! I really love this shade. It is not bright at all, I could even call it dusty, and I also think it has a touch of lilac in it. The application was very good, in spite of the watery formula, a general characteristic of the entire collection. It is opaque in 2 coats and the drying time was OK.

So here I'm wearing 2 coats of OPI Sparrow Me the Drama + 1 coat of Seche Vite:

And finally, the pirate dedicated to this polish ( again, I used a Peggy Sage black nail art pencil):

Thank you, everyone, for watching!

See ya soon!!!
Big hugs!!!
